2018 Monadnock Electric Expo

We were lucky to have our City of Keene Mayor declare September 8th-15th Drive Electric week at the September 6th Council meeting!

We also had volunteers take images of the event!

Images of the day from Jim Murphy! Here is just a sampling!

Here is the ReVision Energy car during setup – our Bronze Level Sponsor, Ben Hobbs came via electricity to table at the event!

We had four legged friends visit the event as well as people interested in Electric Vehicles!

You can see e-bike riders arriving in the background – we were lucky to have such a large venue where bikers had a long stretch to ride down on pavement and turn into a farther empty parking lot.

Everyone had lots of fun testing out the bikes!

We had a local city council member, Terry Clark, strumming for the folks with his friend on banjo during the event!

Singing silly songs and old favorites! Notice the compost bin in the bottom left of the image? We had Elm City Compost Initiative on site to collect both compostable items and recyclables to make this event have the smallest carbon footprint possible! Thanks Elm City Compost Initiative for helping out with the event!

It was a beautiful day – very sunny – in the 80s which meant we were lucky to have Frisky Cow’s Linda on site to offer tastings and sell her organic local Gelato!

Here’s Linda talking with a local electric car owner! Looks like a happy conversation!

We also had three speakers talking about various subjects. Here is Shahir Masri speaking about the basics of Climate Change and how to take Action!

Many people joined the raffle to drive Keene Ice’s Electric Zamboni but Elm City Compost’s own Albert Diemand won the raffle.
