Button Up New Hampshire Workshop in Keene on 10/7/17

October 7, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Button Up New Hampshire, the popular home energy savings workshop series, is coming to Keene, NH. The City of Keene’s Cities for Climate Protection Committee, the Monadnock Progressive Alliance’s Climate Action Team, the Monadnock Sustainability Network and Southwest Community Services are hosting this free workshop for residents.  The workshop will take place on Saturday October 7th at the Stone Arch Village Senior Housing Community Room at 835 Court Street in Keene, NH. Doors open at 9:30am.

The NHSaves Button Up Workshop is a 1.5 hour presentation about how to improve the energy efficiency of your home. It covers basic building science principles as well as examples of whole house weatherization measures that will button up your home for the heating and cooling seasons.  It also covers details about the energy efficiency programs offered by NH utilities to provide energy audits and weatherization, rebates on electric and gas appliances as well as new construction.

The workshop is sponsored by NHSaves and coordinated by the Plymouth Area Renewable Energy Initiative of Plymouth, NH. The utilities are offering a free LED light bulb to the first 10 households who attend each workshop. Each workshop is presented by a knowledgeable BPI Certified Building Analyst and a utility representative will also be available to answer further questions about their programs.

No registration is necessary. For more information on the Keene NHSaves Button Up Workshop visit NHSaves.com/events or e-mail Ann Shedd, Cities for Climate Protection Committee Chair, ladyleafy@gmail.com & Michele Chalice, City of Keene Planner, mchalice@ci.keene.nh.us
